2009 - 2010 SEASON
First Team
Looking to build again from two season's where Rovers came close to promotion Tom Price's team had no such luck. Losing both goalkeepers to University and not having a natural goalkeeper proved costly. Confidence was low but the team kept going. The highlight of the season was beating local rivals Falcons twice and not conceeding in either game.

Second Team
The season began far better than anticipated as the 2 nds found themselves top of the table by the end of October. This was particularly impressive as half the team from the previous season had left for university or been promoted to the 1 sts. The team consistently played far better than expected and finished the season in 4th place which was good enough to gain promotion to division 3. This was Rich Berry's fourth promotion in nine season, but was his first with the 2 nds. It was achieved despite the fact that the same starting XI was never the same. All players performed excellently and it was a real credit to the players. Special mentions go to captain Steve Rogers who was a strong driving force both on and off the pitch and Charlie Homer who played every single game in the league and cup.

Third Team
Following on from the dismal 2009/2009 season, Rovers on the whole improved. With 5 wins and some good performances under the belt, the team managed to erase most of the bad memories and poor football which saw them relegated. Third from bottom was not the best position but the end of season run in showed that the team as a whole was getting stronger. Matt Chilvers retired from his position as player manager to just player after a stint of 5 years in management, that had seen him help the 2 nds get promoted at the first time of asking (as assistant manager). This season ended with Dex Walker as the new manager of the 3 rds, so here's wishing him good luck for his first full season at the helm.

2008 - 2009 SEASON
First Team
Looking to build on last years successful start to life in Division 2, Tom Price had one thing on his mind and that was promotion. In an up and down season Rovers failed in their quest. They battled well against the top teams and got some great results, but they dropped to many points against lower opposition and this in the end was what halted their promotion hopes.

Second Team
The return to Division 4 was just what the team needed, as the team again lost some regulars who left the area for work or university. The team was more equipped to handle this level of football, in the end finishing fifth in the league. This was a slight disappointment but was mainly due to a poor run of form when thay had to play 9 matches in 23 days. However the icing on the cake was an impressive County Cup run which saw them beat Stonehouse Town in the final 4 - 0, to become the first Rovers side to lift a County Cup.

Third Team
Despite going into the new season with high levels of confidence, following on from 2 seasons of good mid-table finishes, the 3rd's were destined to have one of the unluckiest and worse season of their short life span. With only 1 win and 5 draws across the season, the 3rd's never managed to achieve consistency in their play or their line up. 24 games and 24 different line up's. There were some bright spots with the 1 - 1 draw against run away champions C & G, and some generally good performances in most games. But due to a poor return in front of goal and the inability to finish teams off, the 3rd's were destined for Division 6.

A slow start again this season but Matt Chilvers soon had his boys in shape. They went unbeaten for nearly 3 months and managed to finish above local rivals Falcons. In the season to come the squad will hopefully be pretty much the same and Chilvers will be hoping to challenge for the title.
