Charlton Rovers AFC was founded in 1976 by the parents of young children attending Glenfall Primary School in the Charlton Kings area of Cheltenham.
For the 2008 - 2009 season we have 14 youth teams from under 9 to under 16. There is a Saturday Club for children under 8. The club has also just formed an Under 18 Team, who compete in the Bristol Under 18 Football Combination Gloucetershire Division. We also have 3 senior sides who play in the Cheltenham League and these teams comprise of many players who have graduated from the Rovers Youth System.
Famous old boys include former Cheltenham Town players - Martin Devaney, Michael Jackson, Stuart Fraser and the legendary Dave Payne!!!!
